Water damage restoration for properties affected by flooding, storms, sewage leaks or fire

Whether from flash flooding, a plumbing leak or as the result of firefighting efforts, water in your home or commercial building has the potential to cause significant damage and should be dealt with as soon as possible. As well as ruining your belongings, water also poses serious health and safety concerns, including structural damage, a risk of electrocution, and the spread of waterborne pathogens. Water that has been contaminated by harmful substances such as sewage or chemicals presents an even greater risk to health

Our water damage restoration service goes beyond the mere extraction of water. When you contact CIRTS, we’ll perform an extensive site inspection to assess the level of damage and the remediation required, before getting to work pumping out the excess water. We’ll then move on to completely removing any moisture from the fabric of the building, using the latest drying technology to prevent mould and odours while returning your property to its pre-damage state. Finally, we’ll restore as many of your personal belongings as possible, or source suitable replacements where items are too damaged to restore.

Our work speaks for itself

We’ve supported clients in both commercial and domestic settings, allowing them to return to a safe, hygienic environment with minimal stress and disruption. Take a look at some of our past projects to see what CIRTS is capable of.

Fast water damage response with complete drying and deodorising

The longer your home and belongings are in contact with water, the worse the damage will be. Our fast response times mean we can get started on the restoration process sooner and salvage as much as possible. While we aim to work as quickly as possible, we’ll always provide a thorough service, including documenting the damage for your insurance claim before we get started on clean-up.

Removing water from the property is of course essential, but unless the interior is completely dried and decontaminated, mould, mildew and odours will develop. As well as being unpleasant, this can create health risks, particularly with damage caused by sewage or floodwater. We use state-of-the art drying and deodorising equipment to ensure that the moisture is fully removed from your belongings and the fabric of the building, before carrying out a thorough deodorising and decontamination process.

FAQ

We’ve put together some of the most common questions about our water damage restoration (inc. flood, sewage, storm damage) service. Take a look at our FAQs below, or feel free to contact us for more information and advice.

Drying of the structure and contents after flooding water damage should be undertaken as soon as possible to prevent further damage. This is the first step in the restoration process, as removal of mould, deodorising and decontamination can’t take place until the structure and its contents are dry.

Depending on the level of damage to your home, you may be able to stay there during the restoration process. Our experts will assess the extent of the damage and identify any risks or hazards that would make it unsafe for you to remain in your home, such as severe structural damage or electrical problems. Where only the ground floor has been damaged by water, you may be able to stay on the upper floors during drying and remediation.

In cases where the property has experienced severe flooding, or where there are many soft furnishings such as carpets, drying will take longer. CIRTS uses advanced water pumps and drying technology to make the process as fast as possible. However, this isn’t a step that can or should be rushed, as ensuring complete removal of moisture will help to prevent mould and odours.
